Icchapuran

ICCHAPURAN

Icchapuran is a very famous short story by Shree Rabindranath Tagore of all about an old father and his son. The son (Sushil chandra) wanted to do whatever he wanted. But because of his being low aged, he had no power or right to do so. So he wanted to become as like as his father. He wanted to climb on a tree and jump from that, to buy a chocolate, and wandering with his friends. But it was a matter of sorrow that whatever he wanted, his father prohibited him.

And on the other hand, his father(Subal chandra) wanted to get his child-age of his past. Because he thought that if he got his past time, he would utilize that times by reading or studying that his son is refusing now.

One day a monk was going behind their house and understood their mind language. He blessed them. On next morning they find themselves in a disturbing moment because their wearing was not comfortable. And their age was changed. The father became as his son and the son became as like as father. But both of them were pleased.

But problem was started after some days. The characters and personalities were not matched with their aged. In the book anyone can realize the problems of their and these were very interesting. I strongly recommend anyone to read it who are not read yet.

EKRATRI

It is a romantic short story of Rabindra Nath Tagore. The story is in syllabus in various classes because of its real time age based romance.

The main character is a school teacher. But at his young age, he loved someone named Surbala but he could not understand then. But Surbala loved him with all her heart. Probably for this, the narrator neglected her at every step. And narrator's father wanted to see the narrator as a barrister. Narrator also decided to be the same. For this he went to kolkata. At kolkata his study was washed away and he became a freedom fighter. But after some days he realized his fault and found himself a normal primary school teacher.

Here, Surbala married someone of that village where the narrator lived in and Surbala's husband was his friend. The problem was so much. At a stormy night Surbala and the narrator met with one another. And rest of romance is in the book.
